Kits for hurricane zones
Florida and the Gulf spend hurricane week wet, then sit through a power-out. The useful printed pieces are ponchos, a light that can charge a phone, and a way to make water after the pouches run out. This page does not invent storm tests. It points at listings that name those pieces.
- Emergency Zone Urban — ponchos, a tube tent, a dynamo radio with phone charge, and Chlo-Floc for water you find later. Stored pouches are about 1.49 L for two.
- Emergency Zone Family 4 — four-person shelf bag. SOS food and water are named without printed totals, so those cells stay N/A.
- READYWISE — meals you heat, plus a stove. Five small pouches, about 0.625 L. You will need more water to rehydrate the food.
- First My Family 1 — one-person bag at a mid price. The listing names food and water for three days and skips a calorie total.
- EVERLIT — printed 7,200 kcal for two, a hand-crank radio that can charge a phone, and purification tablets rated for 25 quarts you collect later. Pouches are about 3 L.
- Swiss Safe car — trunk kit for a dead battery and a cut. A poncho is on the list. It is not a 72-hour food bag. FEMA cells are N/A.
